The Hawa Mahal is an 18th-century palace located in Jaipur, India. The palace is named after the Hindi phrase ‘Hawa-e-Mahal’ meaning 'Palace of Winds' and got its name after it was designed to allow royal women and notables a view of street parades, festivals and other public events while they were forbidden from viewing them by standing in front of the kings.
